Privacy policy

JobStar collects and processes personal data only to run the platform. Updated: 28.09.2026.

What we collect

• Account: first name, last name, email, password hash, language.
• Candidate profile: professional details, skills, experience, CV files — as much as you enter.
• Employer: company details, verification documents.
• Technical: IP address, device type, sign-in times (for security), request logs.

Why we use it

• To run and secure your account.
• To deliver vacancies and applications.
• For moderation and fraud prevention.
• For the notifications you choose.

CV visibility

Your CV is visible only in the mode you choose: private, applications only, searchable or anonymous. A company you apply to receives the copy as it was at that moment.

Who we share it with

- The team of the company you apply to — the application content only. - Technical providers (hosting, email delivery) — to operate the service. - Public authorities when required by law. Your data is not sold.

Retention

When an account is deleted, the profile, CVs and alerts are removed immediately; copies of sent applications remain with the employer, and name and contact details are anonymised after 30 days. The audit log is kept for 12 months for security.

Your rights

- Download your data as a JSON file (Privacy page). - Correct and delete it. - Opt out of notifications. Use the contact form for requests.
